Mug tapers up to 3 inches at about 2 inches from the bottom. Should fit most cup holders. Mug is 8 1/4 inches tall, but not too tippy. Lid is a bit of a disappointment. Just slips into mug and friction holds it in. I prefer a screw top. Lid opens via a slider that reveals a hole that coffee comes through. Also not a great design. Coffee will leak if you get thrashing the cup around too much. My cup holder in my car ...more
